After all the parties in the states we were happy to fly to Fiji – the dreamland of relaxation. Upon arrival we were greeted by a bunch of Fijians who wanted to give us information about the different islands. We ended up getting a cab which drove us to the Yasawa Flyer, the only ferry boat which takes you to all the different islands. From the states we had booked accomodation on our first stop – Naviti island. We stayed in a basic „bure“, a bungalow right on the beach, surrounded by coconut trees. Snorkeling was excellent right in front of our new home, so we spent the next day in the water observing all these fishes and the coral. The next day I took Jana to the Honeymoon bay, which opened up after a short walk over a mountain. We went there just before sunset and I proposed to her (she said yes, thanks to God)- that s why Fiji is a special place…
We spent another day on Naviti celebrating our luck and off we were to the next island – Nadula. Our accomodation there was a big step up from the former one. The guys than run the hostel were all very friendly and the other guests staying there were a lot of fun. We visited the local village, went snorkeling, laid on the beach and Bjoern showed the english guys how to play football (and these guys claim to have the strongest league – suckers). Time flew by and before we knew we were on our way back to he main land. We stayed one night in Nadi and it was already time to continue our journey – off to Australia.
